Set-Jetting 2026: 10 Destinations You Saw on Netflix (and How to Get There Cheap)

Wednesday's Nevermore Academy scenes made Cadca in Slovakia (where the school exterior was shot) a genuine tourist destination for the first time in its history.

The 2026 pattern is straightforward: watch the drop dates, know where the show is set, and book flights before the searches spike. Once the first episode airs, prices on the Google Flights heat map for that destination move visibly within a week.

Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights adaptation dropped in February 2026 and put the Yorkshire Dales back on the map for the first time in a generation. Expedia recorded a 60% search spike in the first six weeks and summer bookings are up 35% year over year.

The genuine surprise of 2026. Prime Video's Heated Rivalry set in Muskoka drove a 110% search spike, with Boston up 85%, Montreal up 65%, and Toronto up 55% as US and Canadian travellers looked at the region for the first time in years.

The play. This is the shortest and cheapest set-jetting trip on the list for US and Canadian travellers. Fly YYZ to any regional Ontario hub, or drive 2 hours north of Toronto. The play. Fly into Madrid (MAD), not the smaller regional airports. Madrid to Cornwall was one of the biggest 2024 surge destinations; Cáceres works the same way. The play. Fly into Bangkok (BKK) as the entry point, then connect to Krabi (KBV) or Samui (USM) domestically on Nok Air or Thai Vietjet for $30 to $60. Set-jetting fares follow a specific pattern. Before the show drops, prices are baseline. In the two to six weeks after the premiere, they spike 30 to 60% on the most-searched routes. Six months later, they settle back down but often stay 15 to 25% above pre-drop baseline.

• Book pre-premiere if you can. Watch the show's announced release date, then book flights 2 to 4 months before it drops. Fares are at baseline and inventory is wide open.
• Fly into the secondary gateway. Manchester instead of London for Yorkshire. Rome instead of Venice for Emily in Paris Italy episodes. Nice instead of Marseille for the Riviera.
